Ryan Roland pushed Chloe's wheelchair.
The family of four stopped at the edge of the crowd.
They kept their distance to avoid the crush.
Chloe sat in her wheelchair, her eyes anxiously searching the center of the throng.
Evelyn Ross was surrounded by Vance Group employees.
Amid the shifting figures, only glimpses of her could be caught.
Ryan listened to the surrounding murmurs.
His expression was calm as he spoke softly to Chloe. "Miss Ross is dealing with that troublemaker. Chloe, stay out of sight for now."
Chloe pressed her lips together, her gaze stubborn.
She nudged Ryan's arm. "Brother, go check. That woman is vicious. Don't let our savior get hurt."
Ryan nodded.
He instructed Mr. and Mrs. Roland to watch over their daughter, then pushed into the crowd.
People made way, greeting him respectfully. "Mr. Roland."
Julian Evans stepped forward. "Don't worry, Mr. Roland. I'll have this cleared up immediately. We won't inconvenience you."
He turned to Tyler Evans, his voice cold. "Call security."
Remembering his sister's concern, Ryan looked at Isabella first.
Seeing her clutching her wrist, his brow furrowed. "Miss Ashcroft, are you injured?"
His sister would be heartbroken to see this.
Isabella replied gently, "It's nothing serious. Evelyn didn't mean to..."
Ryan's eyes turned icy.
She dared to lay hands on someone?
He glared at Evelyn with disgust, his voice sharp. "You wanted to buy raw materials from the Rolands? I'll sell them to you—on one condition. Get on your knees right now and kowtow three times to apologize to Miss Ashcroft!"
Ryan disliked Isabella.
But the injustice his sister suffered must be addressed.
He couldn't publicly pursue the woman's verbal abuse of his sister. He had to use this pretext.
He would make her pay for her past cruel words!
Evelyn narrowed her eyes.
Ryan was going too far!
Jason Lawrence said angrily, "Mr. Roland, is such humiliation necessary?"
Julian also found it excessive. He advised, "Mr. Roland, Isabella has already let it go. They are sisters, after all..."
Ryan stood firm. "I believe in an eye for an eye. I'm not as magnanimous as Miss Ashcroft."
He stared at Evelyn, his voice freezing. "If you refuse, I'll ensure you can't buy any raw materials domestically! Your little company will go bankrupt!"
Initially, he only planned to delay delivery. Now, he decided to destroy it completely.
Crushing a small company was effortless for a giant like the Rolands.
Evelyn met his gaze.
This man had been gentle and polite at the hospital. Now, he was a different person.
She didn't understand his sudden hostility.
But he thought she could only source domestically?
Evelyn's jaw tightened. She let out a cold laugh, about to speak, when Alexander Vance's icy voice cut in. "You don't have that power, Mr. Roland."
The man who had stepped out to make a call had finally returned.
He saw Ryan targeting Evelyn the moment he entered. He strode over and positioned himself in front of her.
Ryan's expression darkened. "Mr. Vance, this is between her and me. Stay out of it."
Alexander's tone was indifferent. "And if I insist?"
Ryan's eyes turned dangerous. "Then I'll have to reconsider the cooperation between our families!"
The Vance Group employees panicked.
Julian said urgently, "Uncle, you can't sacrifice the company's interests for a woman!"
Tyler echoed, "Mr. Vance, Young Master Julian and his fiancée worked hard to secure the Rolands. Don't undermine their efforts!"
Executives whispered among themselves, not daring to speak openly.
Ryan explained slowly, "This woman deeply hurt my sister with her vicious words. I must teach her a lesson. Are you sure you want to make an enemy of the Rolands for her sake?"
For his sister, he would pay any price.
Even if his aunt scolded him harshly back in New York, he would accept it!
Executives pleaded:
"Mr. Vance, since this lady harmed Miss Roland first, Mr. Roland has a right to seek justice..."
"Yes, the Rolands are our guests..."
"Mr. Vance, please prioritize the group..."
Thomas Watson whispered a reminder. "Boss, everyone supports Julian. If you push too hard, you'll lose public support."
Evelyn frowned at the words.
She stepped forward, facing Ryan directly. "Mr. Roland, exactly how did I hurt Chloe? Bring her here. Let's clarify this face to face!"
Isabella immediately said, "Evelyn, Miss Roland is unwell. It's inconvenient for her to travel. Don't make things difficult for Mr. Roland."
Alexander, however, said calmly, "We should invite Miss Roland over to settle this matter clearly."
Ryan refused. "She's not available..."
His sister didn't want to see the woman who had hurt her.
Before he could finish, Mr. Roland's voice came from behind the crowd. "Ryan, let Chloe clarify. We don't want Mr. Vance thinking the Rolands are bullying others."
He pushed Chloe's wheelchair, slowly moving into the center of the crowd.
Chloe kept her head down, not daring to look around.
Seeing his sister like this, Ryan felt both heartache and rage.
He glared at Alexander. "Mr. Vance, after my sister speaks, I hope you see clearly and stop protecting this scum of society!"
He crouched down and pointed at Evelyn. "Chloe, don't be afraid. Look at her. Tell everyone what this woman did to you!"
