The call was disconnected after just one ring.

A cold, automated voice sounded from the receiver.

"Hello, the number you have dialed is unavailable."

Justin Evans frowned deeply.

Where was his sister?

He sent another message.

[Sis, Mom and I are here. Which floor are you on? We'll come find you!]

The message went unanswered.

"What's wrong?"

"No reply. She's not answering her calls."

"I'll guard the entrance. Since you're here, go check on Jason."

Justin agreed.

Mrs. Evans turned and headed downstairs.

Justin walked toward Jason's room.

He suddenly turned back to look at Jane, his expression dark.

"It just occurred to me that Jason arranged for you to be a medical intern on this floor, correct?"

"Since that's the case, come here immediately and attend to Jason properly!"

"Otherwise…"

Jane clenched her fists, her eyes reddening.

Evelyn Ross stopped her.

"Jane, you don't have to subject yourself to this."

Justin stared at Evelyn.
