Chapter 354

Chloe Roland's pupils contracted sharply.

Evelyn Ross wiped away the drawn tear mole with a makeup remover wipe.

Her original, familiar red mole was revealed.

Chloe's breath hitched.

The position and shape of that mole were all too familiar to her.

It was her savior.

She stared blankly at Evelyn, completely stunned.

She rubbed her eyes hard, her eye rims instantly turning red.

"Wah—"

Chloe suddenly burst into loud sobs.

She cried heartbreakingly, without any regard for her image, like a child who had suffered immense grievance.

Evelyn had originally intended to scold her.

She wanted to ask why she didn't value her own life.

But seeing her crying so bitterly, those words got stuck in her throat.

Chloe was extreme.

But all her extremism was for Evelyn's sake.

Anyone in the world could criticize her, except Evelyn herself.

Evelyn sighed softly and stepped forward to embrace her.

Chloe was half a head shorter. Her body stiffened for a moment before she tightly wrapped her arms around Evelyn's waist.

She buried her face in Evelyn's chest, crying so hard she could barely catch her breath. "Savior, you're not dead…"

Evelyn patted her back gently. "I'm not dead."

"Thank goodness!" Chloe held her even tighter, afraid she might disappear.

Evelyn nodded again. "I'm not dead."

"Wah…"

Chloe cried muffledly, finally releasing all the grievances she had suppressed for a month.

Outside the door.

Ryan Roland and Marcus Valentine exchanged bewildered looks.

They pressed their ears against the door, only hearing Chloe's cries from inside.

Ryan was frantic with worry. He reached for the door handle.

The door was locked from the inside.

"Chloe! Miss Ross! Open the door!" Ryan pounded on the door forcefully.

The only response was even louder crying.

Ryan paced anxiously in circles. He shouted at Marcus, "Quick, find the key! This hotel belongs to your family!"

Marcus immediately sent someone to fetch the key.

He leaned close to the door and called out, "Grace, calm down. Don't do anything excessive…"

Penelope Valentine looked on with concern. "Big brother, Mr. Roland, could Grace be harming Miss Roland inside because of what happened this morning?"

Ryan's face paled instantly. He took a step back. "Move aside!"

Marcus sidestepped to make way.

Ryan lifted his leg, ready to kick the door down!

At that moment, the door opened.

Ryan's kick met empty air, nearly causing him to do the splits.

He steadied himself with a hand on the floor and urgently looked inside.

Evelyn stood there.

"Where's Chloe?" Ryan asked anxiously.

"She…"

Before Evelyn could finish, Penelope rushed forward accusingly. "Grace, how could you? Miss Roland is an honored guest. What were you trying to do by locking her in the bathroom?"

Evelyn raised an eyebrow.

Penelope continued, "I know Miss Roland offended you this morning, but you can't seek revenge on her! She was clearly so heartbroken. Couldn't you just endure it?"

Evelyn crossed her arms and smirked coldly. "Finished?"

Penelope was speechless.

She turned to Ryan. "Mr. Roland, I was just worried about Miss Roland…"

Chloe walked out of the bathroom, her expression cold. "We don't need your fake concern!"

She had just washed her face. Her makeup was completely ruined, but her spirit seemed significantly improved.

Though her eyes were red, the madness was gone.

Ryan breathed a sigh of relief.

Penelope was stunned, unable to comprehend what had happened.

She hesitated, then looked at Evelyn. "Miss Ross, you do know she's Grace, right? Her tear mole was drawn…"

Before she could finish—

Slap!

Evelyn slapped her across the face.

Penelope covered her cheek, eyes wide with shock. "What are you doing?"

"Retaliation." Evelyn's gaze was sharp. "On the rooftop, did you intentionally use the makeup to remind her my tear mole was drawn?"

Penelope's eyes darted evasively.

She looked at Marcus and Ryan with a pitiful expression. "How could you think that of me? Am I that kind of person?"

She forced out tears. "I just saw Miss Roland's makeup was ruined and wanted her to touch it up…"

"Is that so?" Evelyn asked mildly.

Penelope nodded vigorously.

The next second—

Slap!

Another slap landed on her other cheek.

Penelope whipped her head around, glaring at her furiously. "Grace, how dare you!"

Evelyn dusted off her hands. "I already did. What's there to dare?"

"You…" Penelope turned teary eyes toward Marcus. "Big brother, are you just going to let her hit me?"

Evelyn raised an eyebrow. "Whether you did it intentionally or not, you nearly got Miss Roland and me killed today. Two slaps are getting off lightly. Mr. Valentine, any objections?"

Penelope hurriedly said, "Big brother, you have to stand up for me! I'm a daughter of the Valentine family. How can I let someone bully me like this? Where would the Valentine family's reputation be if this got out?"

She cried pitifully.

Marcus, however, let out a derisive laugh. "A family dispute. Outsiders shouldn't interfere."

Penelope was stunned. "A family dispute? Big brother, you're mistaken. How could she and I have a family dispute?"
