Chapter 328

Fiona and Penelope Valentine were both stunned.

They simultaneously looked at Alexander Vance.

Despite being openly discussed, the college student remained perfectly composed.

His gaze was fixed intently on the teacup before him. He didn't even lift an eyelid.

Fiona's eyes lit up. She turned and whispered to Penelope, "Penny, this boy toy might be from an ordinary family, but his looks are truly exceptional. If Alexander Vance is this handsome, you've really hit the jackpot."

A satisfied smile curled at the corners of Penelope's mouth.

Just then, a retching sound came from a distance.

They followed the sound and saw Mina Sherwood, her face pale, clutching her chest as she rushed toward the restroom.

They curled their lips in disdain.

When they looked back, Marcus Valentine was already gone.

Mina's sudden morning sickness caught both Evelyn Ross and Mina completely off guard.

There had been no prior symptoms at all.

It wasn't until a server brought out a plate of fried fish, its strong, pungent odor wafting through the air.

Mina's stomach instantly churned violently.

Evelyn quickly supported her as they hurried into the restroom.

Mina retched over the sink for a long time before weakly pushing Evelyn away. "Grace, I'm fine. You go out first. I want to be alone for a moment."

Evelyn hesitated for a second before nodding in agreement.

Alexander was still outside. The Sherwood family was also present today.

Earlier, Kevin Sherwood, the head of the Sherwood family, seemed to have noticed Alexander and was walking toward him.

Worried, Evelyn quickly stepped out of the restroom.

Sure enough, she saw Kevin standing before Alexander.

Evelyn tensed up and quickened her pace.

She heard Kevin ask, "Haven't we met before? You look very familiar."

Alexander held a deep resentment toward the Sherwood family and had no desire to engage. He simply averted his gaze.

Kevin's son, Miles Sherwood, immediately snapped in displeasure, "Hey, my father is talking to you. What's with the attitude?"

Alexander abruptly stood up.

His imposing aura forced Miles to take a step back.

He looked directly at Kevin, his gaze icy.

Kevin frowned.

He could sense the other's clear hostility but didn't understand why. He continued with a smile, "Young man, is there some misunderstanding between us?"

"Don't know you."

Alexander looked at this man, his biological uncle, and coldly spat out three words before turning to leave.

Miles, seeing this, grew even more displeased. "You don't know him? Then why the attitude? Didn't your mother teach you to respect your elders?"

Alexander's steps halted abruptly.

A murderous glare shot directly toward Miles.

Evelyn, hearing this, was instantly furious.

These Sherwoods were utterly detestable!

"Shut up!" she directly shouted.

In that moment, Evelyn completely forgot Grace Nan's meek persona. She rushed to stand in front of Alexander, bristling with protectiveness like a mother hen.

She glared at Miles. "Your mouth is so foul. You should rinse it out before speaking!"

Miles instinctively covered his mouth, then realized he'd been insulted. His face turned purple with rage. "You—"

"You what? Didn't your mother teach you not to casually bring up other people's family?"

Evelyn stepped forward and swatted away his pointing finger. "Before criticizing others, take a good look at yourself!"

Miles was momentarily speechless.

Kevin was also a bit stunned. He hurriedly tried to smooth things over. "President Nan, it's just a few cross words.
