Chapter 121

Sound the Alarm!

Fiona Vance immediately nodded and pulled out her phone to make the call.

A large hand shot out and snatched the phone from her.

Julian Evans sneered. "Aunt Fiona, this woman is nothing but trouble. She's been deceiving Great-Grandmother all along. We're just cleaning house for the Vance family. There's no need for that call. I'll explain everything to Uncle when he returns tonight, after we've thrown her out."

Fiona frowned. "Young Master Julian, it's better to wait for Mr. Vance to handle this! Miss Ross is an honored guest of both the master and the madam!"

"Honored guest? I think she's just shamelessly clinging to my uncle!" Julian's voice was icy. "Their photos are all over the internet, severely damaging the company's image. I'm doing this for Uncle's sake."

Eleanor Vance trembled with rage. "Julian Evans! You unfilial descendant! She is your uncle's lawfully wedded wife! You cannot treat her like this!"

Julian pressed his lips together and remained silent.

Margaret Evans hurried over. She exchanged a look with Isabella Ashcroft.

The two women flanked Eleanor, each taking an arm.

Isabella spoke softly. "Great-Grandmother, the wind is picking up. Let me take you back to your room to rest. You wouldn't want your old illness to flare up."

Margaret sighed. "Grandmother, you're so confused. Beiyan's wife is still studying abroad. She hasn't returned to the country at all. You've mistaken this Miss Ross for someone else!"

"I am not mistaken!" Eleanor struggled fiercely, refusing to move.

Margaret was wary of the old lady's health and didn't dare use too much force.

Isabella, however, harbored deep hatred for the old woman. If it weren't for this senile fool, how could Evelyn Ross be so favored in the Vance household?

She secretly pinched the old woman hard.

Eleanor cried out in pain. "Why did you pinch me?"

Isabella played innocent. "Great-Grandmother, I didn't! You're confused again..."

Evelyn's eyes turned sharp.

She moved swiftly, appearing before Eleanor in an instant.

She seized Margaret's wrist, forcing her to let go.

Then she backhanded a slap across Isabella's face!

Smack!

Isabella had been prepared and quickly stepped back, but the blow still landed squarely.

She fell to the ground and clutched her stomach. "Evelyn Ross, what are you doing? My belly..."

Julian immediately grew tense.

Some time ago, he had been set up by Isabella. They spent the night together at a hotel.

He truly believed Isabella was carrying his child.

He helped Isabella up and glared at Evelyn. "We can talk this out. Why resort to violence?"

Evelyn ignored him.

She checked on Eleanor. "Grandmother, are you alright?"

Eleanor pushed up her sleeve, revealing a bruise on her arm.

She complained with grievance. "Granddaughter-in-law, she pinched me!"

Evelyn whirled around.

Her icy gaze fixed on Isabella.

The look in her eyes made even Julian feel a murderous intent, sending a chill down his spine.

He took a step back and ordered the security guards. "What are you waiting for? Throw this woman out immediately!"

"I'd like to see anyone try!" Evelyn shouted sternly.

She scanned the security guards. "You don't believe I'm Alexander Vance's wife? Are you going to disregard the madam's safety as well? Anyone who dares to lay a hand on her and disturbs the madam will face Alexander's wrath when he returns!"

She wasn't afraid of a fight.

She was worried the chaotic scene would agitate the old lady.

The security guards were indeed intimidated.

They surrounded her but didn't dare to advance.

Margaret stepped forward. "The family doctor said the madam is in robust health. She's not that fragile! Get moving! Throw this woman out for me!"

The security guards still hesitated.

They had all witnessed Alexander Vance's methods!

Earlier this year, when he first returned, Margaret, representing the eldest branch, tried to put him in his place by having the kitchen serve him cold meals.

Alexander responded by leading his men to smash the kitchen!

Several chefs and helpers were injured. Not only were they denied compensation, they were fired for negligence.

Those chefs still couldn't find work!

At the company, Alexander was absolutely decisive. Those who defied his orders met terrible ends.

The security guards knew very well who not to cross in this household!

Seeing their continued inaction, Margaret yelled, "If you don't act now, I'll fire you all! I'll take responsibility if anything happens!"

The security guards finally took a step forward.

They slowly encircled Evelyn and Eleanor, but still hesitated to act, wary of the old lady.

Seeing this, Isabella cried out, "Evelyn Ross, the madam can't handle stress. If you truly care for her, have Aunt Fiona take her back to her room!"

Fiona was anxiously pacing.

Hearing this, she quickly squeezed through the circle of guards and supported Eleanor.

Evelyn urged, "Grandmother, please go back with Aunt Fiona for now."

"No, I must protect my granddaughter-in-law!" Eleanor was stubborn.

Fiona whispered, "Madam, my phone was taken. Come back with me. We can use the landline to call the master and have him return!"

Eleanor was taken aback.

Evelyn quickly added, "Yes, you must go and sound the alarm."

The chaotic scene had left Eleanor somewhat disoriented. "Right, I need to get that stinky boy to rescue my granddaughter-in-law!"

Evelyn patted her arm. "Grandmother, hurry and go with Aunt Fiona."

Fiona supported Eleanor and helped her leave.

She whispered to Evelyn, "Miss Ross, a wise man knows when to retreat. Avoid a direct confrontation for now. I'll have the master return immediately to settle this for you!"

Evelyn lowered her eyes. "I understand. Please hurry back."

"Alright."

"Wait." As Fiona helped Eleanor out of the encirclement, Evelyn flexed her wrist.

A sharp glint flashed in her eyes. "Once you're back in the courtyard, no matter what sounds you hear, do not come out."

Fiona was startled.

Eleanor had already quickened her pace. "Make the call! Call that stinky boy!"

Fiona had no choice but to follow.

Eleanor rushed to the landline.

Her hands trembled as she dialed Alexander's number.

Her voice choked with tears, she cried into the phone, "Stinky boy! They're going to beat your wife to death!!"
